The Catawba County GIS department has developed various web applications to facilitate public access to the counties geospatial information. This page contains descriptions of and links to some of the counties GIS web applications. Links are also under GIS Online Services menu.

Real Estate Maps The Catawba County Real Estate Map Server allows you to query properties in the County by entering various types of search information, and produce associated maps and reports. You can display the tax card information for the selected property from the Assessment Data/Report links. The data is updated on a regular basis.

Real Estate Reports
The Catawba County Real Estate Report site provides property reports. If you need information on a property and do not need a map use this search. The reports are identical to the reports generated by the Real Estate Map server

Real Estate Analysis
The Catawba County Real Estate Analysis site provides a way to search for multiple properties that meet your input criteria. For example, all recent sales in the City of Newton within a certain price range, or all properties in the county that fall within a certain acerage, etc. There are links from the Analysis Report to individual Parcel Reports, and to a map. Clicking a map link will display a map with all of the selected parcels highlighted and zoomed to the chosen parcel or a county map showing the location of all selected parcels.

School Locator
This application provides a map and school information for a specific addresss, or a given school. Because of technology changes the application was rewritten in the Fall of 2010 using Open Source software. The previous application was using software that is being retired by the vendor.

Daycare Locator
This application shows the counties Daycare centers on a google map. The information box for each site provides further information.

The mapping applications are tested with recent versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Other browsers, including Internet Explorer 6, may not always work correctly with all the applications.
